Space Wolves Kill Team

Kill Team has probably been my favourite thing GamesWorkshop has released since I got back into the hobby. It's given me loads of opportunities to put more detail into individual models and start collecting armies I only want a small amount of!

This is my Adeptus Astartes Space Wolves Kill Team, fronted by four Japanese Space Marines Heroes. I have a fifth which is the flamer, who's in reserves. Joining them I've got three regular Grey Hunters, one rocking a plasma gun.

I plan on slowly adding to them, probably next with some Reivers as they're cool models and I'd love some proper close combat models. However I'm going to wait for the Space Wolves codex to come out next weekend before buying any models!

I've also had a great time coming up with fluff for the Kill Team, below is all the backstory and character information about them:

Backstory:

After hearing a distress call, a 20 man squad of Grey Hunters is sent out from The Fang to investigate. They find the Space Wolves’ ship orbiting an unknown planet. As soon as they entered the ship they’re attacked but a large Tyranid horde. After the fight all communication and guidance systems were destroyed leaving them on a collision course to the unknown planet.

Mission:

Having crash landed on the seemingly deserted planet, the group of 7 start searching for other surviving members of the squad and a means back to Fenris. Only to find they aren’t as alone as they think they are.

Quirk:

The Xenos fight has brought the primal wolf spirit out in each warrior. Turning them into blood thirsty beasts who’ll stop at nothing to survive.

Bjorn Thunderfist - Sergeant, Leader

Son of the now famous Ragnar Blackmaine. First time leading as a Sergeant. He’s already proved himself as a vicious warrior winning many battles as a Grey Hunter.

Henrik Firebourne - Gunner, Plasma, Sniper

Having once turned down the offer of sergeant to instead stick with a special weapons team, Henrik is an expert with everything plasma.

Ranek Icewalker - Ammunition, Comms

Always ready with a spare clip, hailing from the remotest ice plains of Fenris, Ranek has a fondness for all types of ammo.

Lars Frostclaw - Grenadier, Demolitions

When all else fails, blow it up. One grenade away from blowing himself up, Lars has become famous amongst the ranks for his impressive explosions.

Floki The Trickster - Recon, Grey Hunter

Known for his slight of hand and quick trickery. Floki, supposedly a descendent of the trickster god Loki, is a master of reconnaissance. Able to traverse any terrain unseen by the enemy.

Hengist Ironside - Grey Hunter

The youngest and least experienced of the group, this is Hengist’s first missions as a Grey Hunter. But as one of the most vicious Blood Claws, he’s not to be under estimated.

Ulf the Wild - Grey Hunter

A harden Grey Hunter, Ulf has seen many battles and is known to let the wolf spirit take control of him maybe a little too much.

Sven Dragonblood - Gunner, Flamer, Demolitions (lost survivor)

Legend has it that the Dragonbloods once tamed the mythical beasts long ago, which explains their love for fire.

Selling my Adeptus Mechanicus

The other day I came to the decision that my Ad Mech that's been collecting dust since I started my wolves, would be better off sold and paying for more wolves. I'd considered this a few times but kept thinking I'd revisit them so held onto them.

Here are the pictures I took of them for eBays, they're not my finest work and have been a bit battered about during moving house several times.

You can find it on eBay here.

Wolf Lord in gravis armour scenic base

This year part of my new years hobby resolutions has been to enter a painting competition. I've decided to focus on touching this model up to enter. He's one of my favourite models I've painted but unfortunately doesn't serve much purpose in my army for games.

For the last few weeks I've been adding more detail to him and tiding up area's that need it. I put so much time into his sword only to ruin it and almost having to start from scratch on it. The other week I decided he needed some fancy base to help complete the look. So I ripped him off his regular base and set about using unused scenery bits to fashion him a base.

I took a busted pipe from the Promethium Relay Pipes set and some broken down walls and floor from the Manufactorum set. The base I used a is a 40mm base from my old Space Marine Centurions that have been repurposed several times and are a bit worse for ware now.

After somehow successfully glueing everything together, despite the paint and spray paint making it a little fiddling and hard to stick. I glued on some gravel to the base.

It turned out to be a mistake to add the gravel at this stage, as even after it dried, when I started to paint the walls and further details on the pipes, I just kept getting gravel everywhere! But I cracked on nonetheless.

At this point the Wolf Lord did some modelling for Instagram. Doesn't he look pretty.

After he was done modelling I decided the base needed some snow and two things I haven't tried before, some corrosin with Nihilakh Oxide and toxic spills using Nurgles Rot.

I'm very happy with how it's looking but there's still a lot more to do to it Since these pictures I've added an arm coming out of the toxic waste and more snow. Once it's done I'll post a finished well photographed picture of it in all it's glory!

Space Wolf Primaris Lieutenant

Finished painting this guy at the weekend. He's my third listing on eBay.

Fairly pleased with him, definitely not my finest work but I'd stay he was still pretty decent.

I'm looking to buy the Forgebane box when it comes out to keep the Ad Mech, or at least most of them, and to paint and sell the Necrons.

If you're interested in buying him, he's available here.

Space Wolf Primaris Ancient

Having just decided to start selling some of my painted Warhammer on eBay, in the hope I'll be able to fund the hobby via the hobby, I sold this bad boy.

Pretty pleased with the paint job on him, freehand is maybe a little messy and could be neater, but still happy nonetheless.

I'm currently working on a Spaces Wolves Primaris Lieutenant.

Anything I have for sale will be here:  https://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/fenrisian_space_doge

Fenrisian Space Doge

Hey there, I'm George. I got back into 40K at the beginning of 2016. After deciding I needed a creative hobby that didn't involve staring at a computer screen. I used to collect back when I was a wee nipper and remembered how much I loved it.

Now I've decided to make a conscious effort to further my hobby, by managing better portfolios, selling painted models on eBay and entering painting competitions and tournaments.

I predominately collect Space Wolves (hence the name, combined with my love of memes) but have a small Ad Mech force, the starts of a Harlequin force and various random models I like the look of.

I'll be taking on small commissions but for the most part will be painting what I fancy or feel like will sell, and then whacking them on eBay and hoping for the best. My goal is to fund the hobby via the hobby, if that goes well, I'll see where it goes from there.
